Story Collectibles

The Collectibles in Murder By Choice are more than just a fun set of special items to try to locate as you navigate the impressive Mansion and the surrounding island. Completing the various collections of items will also let you earn extra energy to use.

These items are not part of the hidden object scenes that make up the game but are instead just placed around the locations and rooms that you will visit. Some are unusual and will stand out in a location but others will seem like part of the normal scene and can be hard to spot.

Story Collectibles FAQ

The collectibles are arranged into groups of 3 related items. You need to find all 3 of a group to claim the energy boost.
Most of the rooms and area of the game will have 1 or possibly more collectibles, but you may not always be able to collect the items immediately.
Also some collectibles are only available at certain times or points in the game. If you are engaged in a search or activity in a room you may need to return later.
If a room has been closed to you or the item does not appear you can try at a different time.
If you miss the opportunity to find a particular collectible then you are able to return to the island after completing the game in an Exploration mode. At this time all of the rooms are open and all collectibles can be found.

Birds of Esperanza

Feather found in the cupboard in your room (Aquarium Suite)
Black Feather on the path near the Castle suite
Blue feather found in the birdcage in Ruben's Master Suite.

Sports Star

Sports Magazine found behind a cushoin on a sun lounger on the right of the pool terrace.
Football from the Table Football game in the Game room
Football shirt found in the Cave Suite (Freddies room) in the closet on the right.

The Movie Star

Cowboy hat hanging by some cloths on the top left of the Safari Suite (Jax's Room)
DVD disk found in an open case on top of small speaker under the left side of the Large TV in the game room.
Ticket found on the noteboard in the boathouse.

Flowers of Esperanza

Purple flower found on the cliffside area on the lower left. Opposite the satellite dish
Bird of paradise flower in the jungle by the rope bridge.
Yellow Flower found in the Genetica Keep (Genies Room) in the Secret Facility, Haven. Open the double doors on the right to find it.

Ruben's Business Accessories

Tie pin, found in a laundry basket on the left of the basem*nt under the washing machine.
A cuff link found on the floor by the chair in the workshop.
A Pen found at the top of the lighthouse.

Bugs of Isla Esperanza

Panda Ant - found in the Backyard (outside the greenhouse) on a large leaf plant on the right.
Butterfly, found on the veranda on the chair on the right.
Firefly, you will find a small creature holding a firefly in the Ruins area of the jungle. You need to tap it in 2 locations until you can collect the bug.

Patriot

Small statuette found in the abandoned house in the jungle. Near the hanging cauldron.
Badge found in the foyer. Tap the square column by the Parlor entrance to see a fire extinguisher cupboard. Open it to find the badge inside at the top right.
Cap found in the Overlook area below the scaffolding on the right of the lighthouse.

U.S. Navy Admiral

Round Navy Patch found on the beach near the center.
Navy Hat in the Castle Suite - Admirals room
Piece of Bessie, a part of the boat wreckage found on the shore at the Docks (outside the boathouse). It is by the rocks on the lower right.

Bienvenue en France!

Cheese found on the shelf on the right in the walk in fridge.
Desert found by opening a clear cake case on a counter on the right of the kitchen.
Red Beret Hat found in Margot's Room on the far side of the bed.

First Million

Piggy Bank found on a bean bag chair in the Living Quarters in Haven.
Dollar Bill, found in the middle glass table on the right in the Vault.
Cork found on a shelf in the dining room, next to the stairs to the basem*nt.

Treasures of the Sea

Gold figurine found in the crate to the right of the Cavern (from the secret passage)
Jewelry found in a pot near the center of the underwater area (when diving)
Gold coin, found in the Secret Tunnel after you descend from the abandoned house. In the pool of water in the floor, to the right.

Science Celebrity

Magazine with Dr. Kat on the cover, found in the Creative Hub in Ruben's Secret Lab.
Book found in the Laboratory (in Haven), in a box on top of a cupboard.
A blue mug found in the Starship Suite (Dr. Kat's room)

Portia's Love

Photo of Ruben and Portia on the right of the Corridor at the top of the stairs from the foyer.
Envelope found in the wine cellar just visible stuck by the wine rack on the far left next to the bricks.

Q's Origin

A coin found in the large fountain in the garden.
A drink found on the bar in the club room.
A flag found on a top shelf in the greenhouse.

Toy soldier found in the Security office on a low shelf on the far left.
London Bus sticker, small red sticker on a high cabinet in the kitchen.
Red Phone Box key ring, found in the Control Room (in Haven). Open the cupboard on the left and tap on the case on the shelf to view it.
